It is NOT the particle that is ‘wavy’

This whole idea of a ‘waving’ particle is misleading. It is not the whole, lumpy particle that is wavy – the particle is indeed ALWAYS lumpy.

It is just the POSITION (of that LUMPY particle) that follows a wave like behavior. To lock down a position, one needs to solve a WAVE equation (as opposed to a mechanical, particle trajectory equation).
